Interstate Compact Negotiations & Litigation

LRPA’s current and past experience includes: interstate compact negotiations and litigation regarding the Rio Grande Compact as it relates to New Mexico’s deliveries to Texas, in the southeast United States working on behalf of the State of Georgia, the Republican River Basin involving Colorado, Kansas and Nebraska, in Oklahoma relating to negotiations and litigation over the Red River Compact, and in South Carolina with regards to issues of equitable apportionment, inter-basin transfers, the Federal Power Act and FERC licensing.
