LRPA is aggressive in advocating on behalf of Client interests while always bearing in mind that those interests are sometimes best served through reasonable compromise and avoidance of expensive litigation. LRPA routinely explores alternative means to resolve disputes, including mediation, arbitration and negotiated settlements.

However, there are times when litigation cannot be avoided, and in those situations, a litigation strategy consistent with the Client’s goals must be aggressively pursued. LRPA’s attorneys have extensive trial experience litigating cases in multiple forums including the district courts throughout New Mexico, the New Mexico Court of Appeals, the New Mexico Supreme Court, New Mexico federal district court, other state district courts, multiple Circuit Courts of Appeals throughout the country, and the United States Supreme Court.

In state agency proceedings, LRPA’s attorneys regularly represent Clients in administrative hearings before the Office of the State Engineer, the Environment Department, and the Public Regulation Commission.
